IRS or State Tax Problems

If you’ve neglected to file your tax returns on time for any reason, don’t put it off any longer.  We understand that you may be afraid of owing back taxes and penalties, but the longer you wait the more they will add up. You can count on us to minimize your taxes owed and work hard to get penalties reduced, if possible.

Tax Liens and Levies

If you’ve received a notice from the IRS or the State about a lien or levy, contact us immediately. The IRS will often negotiate with tax professionals, like us, to find a more reasonable solution. We speak their language and know how to come to an agreement that allows you to pay off your tax debt over time.

The IRS has the power to take a portion of your paycheck or other income without any consideration about how you’ll pay your bills. If the IRS has threatened to garnish your wages or has already implemented a wage levy, contact us for assistance. Our certified tax resolution specialists will quickly gather the necessary info to determine the level of hardship and eliminate or limit the wage garnishment.

IRS Tax Audit Assistance

Even if you think you’ve always filed your taxes correctly, if the IRS has flagged you for an audit this means they already believe the return is not accurate. You’re probably scared and have lots of questions. We are happy to answer all your questions and be at your side throughout the process.

The penalties associated with unpaid payroll taxes can add up quickly. The IRS is not afraid to take aggressive measures to get their money and could even shut down your business if you wait too long to take action. Before the problem gets this serious, contact us and we’ll find a better solution.

Tax Relief Solutions

The IRS is so aggressive with their collection methods, many taxpayers mistakenly assume that the only way to get rid of their tax debt is to pay it off all at once. Thankfully, this is not the case; there are many types of payment plans and other tax relief services available under the Federal Tax Regulations. At Inside Out Tax Help, we can analyze your circumstances and find the best way to proceed in your case. Call us now at 509-822-7952 to learn more or to request a consultation. We work with clients throughout the United States.

Before you can apply for any type of tax relief from the IRS you’ll need to take care of your unfiled tax returns. We can help you file your back taxes and can sometimes get tax penalties reduced.

If financial troubles are preventing you from paying your tax debt or if you feel you shouldn’t be liable for the assessed amount of a tax bill, an Offer in Compromise might be the remedy for your tax problems. Our specialists can help you to qualify for the Offer in Compromise program and save thousands of dollars in back taxes, penalties, and interest, giving you a fresh start.

If you’re up to date on filing your tax returns but owe more than you can pay all at once, you may qualify for a type of payment plan called an installment agreement. This solution allows you to pay an affordable monthly payment that will gradually eliminate your tax debt.

If your spouse or former spouse failed to report income on your joint tax return, you may be able to apply for innocent spouse relief. We can determine whether your case meets the requirements and submit the correct forms to the IRS.

If you’ve filed your taxes late or incorrectly you can get slapped with large tax penalties. If this mistake was due to illness, a death in the family or not understanding the tax laws, the IRS may agree to forgive or reduce the related penalties.

This special provision was designed to protect taxpayers who are unable to work due to illness or unemployment. Acquiring this status temporarily prevents the IRS from trying to recover a tax debt through drastic collection methods such as wage garnishments or levies.

A client that owns a small recycling business had unfiled taxes for three years, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

He was in a jam because his daughter was trying to get a student loan and they would not give her a loan because he had not filed taxes.

We were able to rush his back-tax returns for those three years, getting him refunds for each year. We then completed his 2018 taxes and he received a $4,074.00 refund.

Client Stories

A couple who owns a small business came to us to have their 2018 taxes done and to request a second look at their previous returns for the last two years, 2016 and 2017. They had been working with a family friend who had done their taxes for the last two years and they had owed money each year.

For 2016 they had owed $8,603 and with the new tax laws, we were able to reduce it down and get $3,819 of that refunded back. For 2017 they had owed $8,187 and we were able to get $1,448  refunded back.

For their 2018 taxes, that we prepared for them, they owed nothing and actually received a $1,029 refund.

With our second-look service and tax experience we were able to get them a total of $6,296 in refunds.

One of our clients that owns a small business had unfiled taxes for two years, 2016 and 2017.

The IRS sent him a notice that he owed $12,000 in taxes for 2016.

With our tax resolution experience, we were able to get his back taxes filed for 2016 and instead of owing money he received a refund of $3,980.
